The Industry Spotlight Series is a quarterly event that connects Rhode Island’s most influential business leaders, investors, innovators, and community stakeholders across high-growth sectors. For the second Industry Spotlight of the year, we are partnering with Blue Venture Forum to focus on BlueTech!

Join us for a dynamic event including networking, interactive tabling, and a pitch contest with a panel of investor judges and prizes for the winning companies!

4:30 pm – Reception & Refreshments, Exhibit Tables

5:00 pm – Welcome from Innovate Newport and “state of the industry” from Blue Venture Forum

5:15 pm – Startup Pitch Contest

6:15 – 7:15 pm – Exhibit Tables & Networking, Reception & Refreshments

Pitches:

This event will include a pitch event for select blue technology companies.

Applicants must be:

• Developing a defense or dual-use technology with clear application(s) in the marine & oceanographic industry.
• Beyond the prototype stage.
• Focused on actively raising an investment round.

Participating investors include representatives from Angel and Venture Capital organizations. Cash prizes will be awarded. Please note that we will select 6 companies to pitch and companies that apply but are not selected may also be given the opportunity to exhibit during the event.
